Creative Interventions, the Revolution Starts at Home Collective, the Safe OUTside the System Collective of the Audre Lorde Project, and the Young Women's Empowerment Project are seeking to connect with groups who are working to reduce and eliminate violence in our communities without relying on policing and state systems.

New York, New York - May 18, 2010 - The Audre Lorde Project (ALP) has successfully concluded its Capital Campaign, A Space for Many Movements. In June 2010, ALP will open a new Manhattan office at 147 West 24th Street, which also houses grassroots organizations FIERCE!, Queers for Economic Justice and the Sylvia Rivera Law Project. The Audre Lorde Project is a community organizing center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming (LGBTSTGNC) People of Color in New York City.
