Safety & Wellness Planning Cypher

When:
Thursday, December 11, 2025 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

ALP's Safety & Wellness Planning tool was designed to support folks in identifying what safety and wellness look like for each of us, and how we can build those practices together. In this training, we will utilize this tool to reflect on our needs and develop concrete plans for care during moments of crisis or escalation. We will discuss how to create safety without relying on policing or punishment, through strategies like pod mapping and mutual support. This space centers the wisdom and survival strategies already present in our communities, and will help us build skills for showing up for ourselves and each other.

Statement

On Sam Nordquist and Transphobia

February 18, 2025

The Audre Lorde Project sends condolences to the family and friends of Sam Nordquist. Sam, a 24-year-old Black Trans Man from Minnesota, was tortured and killed in upstate NY. Sam and all the lives of our TGNC people are sacred. All of the Trans People of Color that we’ve lost to violence across New York deserve justice and to have their lives honored through radical, concrete change.
