Reiki Training

This is a free, in-depth training series on Usui Reiki Ryoho, rooted in healing justice principles and collective practice. Usui Reiki Ryoho, developed in early 20th century Japan by Mikao Usui, is a practice that channels universal life energy to support healing, balance, and spiritual growth.

Participants will receive foundational teachings, attunements, and guided practice opportunities to begin their Reiki journey. By the end of the series, participants will be fully trained Reiki practitioners. Our hope is that graduates will continue to share their practice by providing healing services at ALP healing spaces and Saturday community clinics held regularly at The People's Church.

All sessions are mandatory for participants. The training will begin with a grounding in healing justice, move into the history and core symbols of Usui Reiki Ryoho, and culminate in an in-person attunement and practice session on 9/20. Pre-readings on Healing Justice and Usui Reiki Ryoho will be provided before the training begins.

• Healing Justice Workshop: Wednesday, September 11 (6–9 PM ET, Virtual)

• Usui Reiki Ryoho Class 1: Tuesday, September 17 (6–9 PM ET, Virtual)

• Community Care Day - Attunement & Reiki Practice Session: Saturday, September 20 (12–6 PM, In Person - 307 West 38th Street, New York, NY 10018 - Suite 1505)

Continuing Required Classes & Practice

• Distant Reiki Class: Saturday, September 28 (1–3:30 PM, Virtual)

• Self Reiki Group Sessions: Saturdays, October 5, 12, and 19 (1–2 PM, Virtual)

• Community Reiki Clinicals: 2nd & 4th Saturdays in October; 2nd Saturdays in November and December
