Why Are We Here Today?
As people who are invested in social change, we are challenged with the daunting task of living our politics day to day. How do we begin unpacking the ways oppression impact our relationships with each other? How do we communicate in ways that work to heal and build trust with the people we care about? How do we negotiate in our relationships in ways that feel good?

In this workshop, we are going to look at how we can communicate with our partners and friends in ways that promote solidarity, understanding, and healing.

Learning Objectives: Participants will leave the workshop with the following;
- an understanding of non-violent communication methods

- how to practice active listening

-an understanding of the impacts of violence in our interpersonal relationships as LGBTSTGNC people of color

- negotiation tactics and how to understand and communicate difficult feelings

* Open to all LGBTSTGNC POC

* Snacks and metro cards will be provided
