Join ALP'S SOS Collective at Brooklyn Pride
Dear ALP Supporters,
The S.O.S. Collective wants you to help make our Brooklyn Pride Contingent a success! Please email or call Ejeris at edixon@alp.org, (718) 596-0342 x 22 if you can make it. We’ll also need help prepping for the Parade Festivities on Friday, June 12th at ALP’s office.
Prep!
Friday June 12th 3 – 6pm
We’ll need help packing up the van, phonebanking to potential volunteers, and shopping for snacks. Please email or call if you’re available.
Outreach!
June 13th 11am – 6pm
Do you have two hours to help stop violence against your community? Brooklyn Pride is coming up again and we’re looking for folks to help us do outreach. Outreach shifts are two hours long from 11am – 6pm. You will be prepped and trained on what to say and more experienced individuals will be paired with individuals with less experience.
Outreach is a valuable way to inform community members about our work, to pass on information about preventing and intervening in violence, and to meet community members who may need our support. Last year we met 175 people this year our goal is even more. Please help us reach this goal!
Fundraise!
As many of you know the police violently attacked two community members Jg and Tiffany in mid-May. Please come out and help us collect donations for their legal and medical expenses. Fundraising shifts throughout the day and you’ll also be prepped on what to say.
Email Ejeris at edixon@alp.org to RSVP for all of these upcoming events. Happy Pride!!
