In 2023, almost EVERY educational, medical, social service for our communities were horrifically defunded by as much as 70 percent and yet the NYPD has continued to thrive! Not only has the NYPD been financially fortified but Mayor Eric Adams continues to use divisive narratives, at the expense of marginalized people in NYC to further justify the constant police surveillance and state violence that occurs daily in our neighborhoods.
With our communities living in police terror and scarcity it makes you wonder: How did all this start? Are police officers here to protect us or is there another agenda at play? What are our rights when it comes to the police? And do we even have a right to protest at all?
Join us via Zoom on Wednesday, March 6th at 6:30PM, as we discuss the origins of the modern day police, our rights against police harassment especially as we continue to organize and protest. It's time to end police terror now!
