Hey comrades!

Our Trans Day of Remembrance ceremony is fast approaching on Monday, November 19th, 2018. We will be coming together as a community committed to struggling across differences for our shared liberation to lift up the lives of our comrades lost to violence, celebrate the resiliency of Trans and Gender Non-Conforming People of Color. And in this struggle, we will maintain a safer space for everyone present.

At least 25 Trans community members have been lost in the past year alone, we are committed to creating a space that fosters healing and safety for our sibling's mourning, and to uplift the resilience of our community.

We're looking for folks to take on a security role for Trans Day of Remembrance. Here are the details:

When: Monday, November 19, 2018 5:00 - 9:30 PM

Where: St. John’s Lutheran Church, NYC, 81 Christopher St, NY, NY, 10014

What to expect: The role of security at this event will be to maintain a safe space for folks to gather together, mourn and build with one another.

The event is inside St. John’s Lutheran Church and stationary so it is LOW RISK.

There are two options for security shifts for TDOR 2018: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM and 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM.
