Community Care Day Winter Edition

Winter has come y’all! In response to this and all the things that this season brings, next week Thursday, 12/21, the 3rd Space Collective is hosting a Community Care Day! Join us and bring your friends! The event will be from 6 PM - 9 PM at our Manhattan Office 147 W 24th St. #3  New York, NY10011

This event is all about care and building community. We do that by coming together with food to snack on, music to sway to, crafts to play with, items to share or trade and group sessions on healing and self care.  We come together in joy as comrades and as community practice tangible ways to build with and support each other! This is an opportunity to hold each other and be still -- to take a pause from our day to day lives and hustles.

December 21st also marks the Winter Solstice: the second time in the year when the sun “stands still”. It is the longest night (shortest day) of the year. Let's come together to celebrate and bring light to each other where ever and however we can. If you struggle with seasonal depression like me, you know exactly the benefits of light - no matter the source.

So what exactly is happening, you might be wondering??

• Swag Swap:
  • Following tradition we will have the grand clothing swap market! Come get some new threads, and (if you can) offer* some gently used and clean items for the rest of community.

*If you would like to donate clothing items you can drop them off Tuesday-Thursdays before the event AND during the event

• Group Healing/Workshop
  • Ritual and Alter Making Workshop
  • Healing Circle
• Craft Making (make & take something home with you)
  • Painting Station
  • Affirmation board
  • Salve making with herbs and essential oils
• Massage Therapy
  • Sign up to receive a massage from practitioners within the 3rd Space collective.

This event is for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans and Gender Non Conforming people of color. Please respect who we hold space for and uplift. If you would like to volunteer and support throughout the night email me at

This is a body positive, gender affirming space. All sizes & styles are welcome.

Drop off gently used, clean & bed bug free clothes & accessories Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays during office hours (1-7PM) before the 21'st or bring them with you on the day of the swap!

This space is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator. Scents from the salve making will be strong in the main area, they include lavender and rose essential oils. There will be a quiet space at the opposite side of the space.
