Join the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, FIERCE, Queers for Economic Justice and the Audre Lorde Project, in welcoming MISS MAJOR to come and speak to our communities about the past, present and future of TGNC movements!

Miss Major will speak about her personal life experiences and analysis around organizing within TGNC communities. This is a special opportunity to come together to honor the history and support the future of TGNC communities.

Miss Major is a black, formerly incarcerated, male-to-female transgender elder. Miss Major was at the Stonewall uprisings in ’69, and became politicized in the aftermath at Attica. She has been an activist and advocate in her community for over forty years, mentoring and empowering many of today’s transgender leaders, from coast to coast.

Currently, Miss Major is the Executive Director of the TGI Justice Project in San Francisco, CA (http://tgijp.org/) where she instills hope and a belief in a better future to the girls that are currently incarcerated and those coming home.

Food and Metro Cards Available.
