Audre Lorde Project

85 South Oxford, Brooklyn, NY 11217

A gathering exploring the impact of activism on our wellness and a space to share resources for staying sustained.

Wellness is often an overlooked necessity in the activist community considering how hard we push ourselves, the types of work we do and the violence that we experience. We spend significant time transforming systems and cultures of violence, building counter systems and cultures and directly confronting repressive centers of power. Where does wellness fit into our dreams of a different world and our daily lives?

How do we understand and deal with the impact of knowing and fighting? What is the impact? What resources are we using to build healthy, sustainable organizations and communities of resistance?

Join a diverse circle of NYC social justice activists to explore these questions, share resources and support one another and ourselves.
