Audre Lorde Project’s annual Community Care Day is a self-determined healing space for LGBTSTGNC POC to give and receive sustainable support. We aim to combat the isolation and disposability that medical institutions and capitalist, systems impose on us by uplifting the ancestral, traditional, and Indigenous healing practices that have kept our people thriving and resilient.

This year will be our first in-person Community Care Day since the pandemic began. We will be holding space to discuss the impacts of grief, loss, and life transition during the global pandemic, and exploring how individual wellness is dependent on the wellness of our community. Community healers will be on site offering individualized healing sessions that community members can sign up for for free, including reiki, acupuncture, sound healing and more. Come learn, share skills and resources, and generate joy!

This event is by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit, Trans, and Gender Non-Conforming folks who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
