Prioritize a budget item in FY22 that funds the research and development of a comprehensive, trans-specific resource guide including information on accessing affirming-shelters, food banks, gender-affirming clinics and patient navigators that take low-income insurance; this resource guide must be made widely accessible, for free, online and in-person at government and social services offices in New York City, and must be created and informed by the real experiences of TGNCNBI people. To achieve such, this process has to include a.) awarding the coalition of organizations included in this presser (and the proposed advisory council) priority to vet and recommend resources, and b.) contracting services necessary to make available these materials both in print and digital copy, as well as in accessible forms to multilingual, hard of hearing, and visually-impaired TGNCNBI residents of New York City.
