In this cypher, the Audre Lorde Project invites our community in to learn about the work and lives of LGBTSTGNC activists of color who paved the way.

With over 50 years since the Stonewall riots of 1969 and the current state of our community during the pandemic- the liberation struggle within the LGBTSTGNC community has only intensified. While mainstream media aims to dilute the radical black, brown queer and TGNC history of the riots, of our liberation- WE WILL NOT! Join us as we discuss our radical queer history cypher- on Tuesday, June 1st, 6:30PM! We will discuss the legacies of Kiyoshi Kuromiya, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylivia Rivera, Vernita Gray and Bayard Rustin to name a few. We will take back our history from pinkwashing and uplift our queer and TGNC liberation struggle. Stonewall means we got to fight back!
