Pre-Campaign
- 2002: Local Law 3 is passed
- December 2004: The NYC HRC issued “Guidelines Regarding Gender Identity Discrimination” based on a 2002 amendment to the City’s Human Rights Law.
2005: Campaign Year One
- HRA Citizens Advisory Transgender Sub-Committee is formed.
2006: Campaign Year Two
- February 22: HRA Speakout/Community meeting at Queers for Economic Justice office.
- March 28: Draft of best practices is submitted to HRA. Members of the Citizens Advisory Transgender Sub-Committee helped create this draft.
- June 23: Trans Day of Action includes the issues with HRA.
- August 9: Gender Action Coalition sends letter to Verna Eggleston.
- August 25: Verna Eggleston replies, saying that the "HRA complies with all non-discrimination provisions of the NYC Human Rights Law" and pointing out that the best practices created by the Citizens Advisory Committee are “intended to ensure equal treatment regardless of gender identity across all HRA programs and services."
2007: Campaign Year Three
- June 25: Trans Day of Action includes the issues with HRA.
2008: Campaign Year Four
- March 21: TransJustice sends letter to Robert Doar.
- Late June:TransJustice receives call in response to letter and an offer a meeting.
- June 25: Trans Day of Action includes the issues with HRA and stops at HRA main office.
- September 23: TransJustice meets with HRA.
